2. Services Description

Shine Therapy for Students provides professional speech-language pathology services, including but not limited to:

Speech and language assessments
Individual and group therapy sessions
Consultation services for families and schools
Educational resources and materials

3. Appointments and Cancellations

Scheduling: Appointments can be scheduled by phone, email, or through our contact form. We will confirm all appointments in writing.

Cancellations: Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Late Arrivals: If you arrive late for an appointment, the session may be shortened to maintain our schedule for other clients.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. We accept various payment methods including credit cards, checks, and approved insurance plans.

Insurance: We work with many insurance providers. It is your responsibility to verify coverage and understand your benefits before beginning services.

5. Confidentiality

All client information is kept strictly confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations and professional ethics standards. Information is only shared with your written consent, except as required by law.

6. Consent for Treatment

For clients under 18 years of age, consent must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian. Appropriate consent forms must be completed before services can begin.

7. Professional Boundaries

Our speech-language pathologists maintain professional boundaries with all clients. Personal relationships outside the therapeutic setting are not appropriate and may result in termination of services.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide the highest quality services, Shine Therapy for Students cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Progress varies based on individual factors and commitment to recommended practice activities.

9. Intellectual Property

All materials provided during therapy, including worksheets, handouts, and digital resources, are the property of Shine Therapy for Students and are for personal use only. Reproduction or distribution without permission is prohibited.

10. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the therapeutic relationship at any time. We will provide referrals to other qualified professionals upon request.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with state law.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
